Ingredients

  • – 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • – 1 cup warm water
  • – 2 tbsp sugar
  • – 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • – 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • – 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast

Instructions

    1. Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, mix warm water and sugar, then sprinkle yeast on top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

    2. Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter and the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.

    3. Knead Dough: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

    4. First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

    5. Shape and Second Rise: Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.

    6. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    7. Bake: Bake for 30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

    8. Cool: Remove from the pan and allow the bread to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
