Ingredients

  • – 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • – 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • – 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • – 1 1/4 cups water
  • – 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add water, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract (if using) to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; batter may be slightly lumpy.
    Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with oil or butter.
  3. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  4. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges start to set, then flip and
  5. cook until golden brown on the other side.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
