A lovely heart-shaped cake that makes any celebration special. This double-layer vanilla cake with pink frosting is perfect for showing someone you care.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Pink food coloring
  • 4 cups buttercream frosting

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two heart-shaped pans
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl
  3. Beat wet ingredients separately, then combine with dry mixture
  4. Pour batter evenly into pans
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until done
  6. Cool completely before frosting
  7. Add pink coloring to frosting and decorate as desired
