  • 34 tablespoons frosting (cream cheese or buttercream)
  • 1 cup candy melts or chocolate chips (for coating)
  • 24 lollipop sticks or paper straws
  • Sprinkles or other decorations (optional)

Instructions

1 Prepare the Cake Mixture

  • Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  • Add frosting, 1 tablespoon at a time, and mix until the cake mixture holds together but isn’t too sticky.

3. Form and Chill the Cake Pops

  • Scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a smooth ball.
  • Place the cake balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes until firm.

4. Melt the Coating

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts or chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.

5. Serve and Store

  • Arrange on a cake pop stand or platter for serving.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
